For
anything to happen energy is needed. Sound can make things happen and sound is a form
of energy ‘SOUND ENERGY’.
Waves can carry energy from one place to
another without carrying any substance
from one place to another.
If
one person speaks to another person then sound is travelling from the mouth of
one person to the ear of the other person and because sound is a form of energy
then sound must be a wave.
Light
and ripples in water are also waves. If you make a wave in your bath the wave
will travel to the wall of the bath and then will bounce back off the wall and
come back, we say the wave is reflected.
